Jewellery Guide
This guide helps you find the right fit and keep every piece looking its best. Sizes are a starting point — some designs sit a little differently, and when a piece varies from standard sizing we note it on its product page.
To find your size, wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it meets, and measure that length in millimetres against the Circumference column. If you fall between sizes, size up.
| US | UK | EU | Diameter (mm) | Circumference (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | F | 44 | 14.1 | 44.2 |
| 4 | H | 47 | 14.9 | 46.8 |
| 5 | J½ | 49 | 15.7 | 49.3 |
| 6 | L½ | 52 | 16.5 | 51.9 |
| 7 | N½ | 54 | 17.3 | 54.4 |
| 8 | P½ | 57 | 18.1 | 57.0 |
| 9 | R½ | 59 | 18.9 | 59.5 |
| 10 | T½ | 62 | 19.8 | 62.1 |
Measure around your wrist just below the wrist bone with a flexible tape. Bangles should slide over your hand comfortably — if you have larger knuckles, choose the next size up.
| Size | Wrist circumference | Inner diameter | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 14–15 cm | 5.6 cm | Petite wrists |
| S | 15–16 cm | 6.0 cm | Slim wrists |
| M | 16–17.5 cm | 6.5 cm | Average wrists |
| L | 17.5–19 cm | 7.0 cm | Fuller wrists |
| XL | 19–20.5 cm | 7.5 cm | Broad wrists |
Drape a flexible tape or string where you'd like the necklace to sit and measure the length. Where a piece falls varies a little with height and neckline.
| Style | Length | Where it falls | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Choker | 35–40 cm (14–16") | Base of the neck | High necklines, layering |
| Princess | 42–48 cm (17–19") | On the collarbone | Everyday, most necklines |
| Matinee | 50–60 cm (20–24") | Top of the bust | Workwear & evening |
| Opera | 70–90 cm (28–36") | Below the bust | Statement, long layers |
| Rope | 90 cm+ (36"+) | Waist or longer | Wrap styles, drama |
Earrings are sized by their fitting rather than a chart. Here's how our backs differ so you can choose what feels most secure.
- Butterfly (friction) back
- The classic push-on back — easy to put on and take off, ideal for everyday studs.
- Screw back
- Threads onto the post for the most secure hold — best for heavier or precious studs.
- Lever back
- A hinged latch that closes flush against the ear — secure and comfortable for drops and hoops.
Caring for your 925 silver
Store it dry
Keep each piece in its pouch or a lined box, away from moisture and direct sunlight. An anti-tarnish strip helps silver stay bright.
Clean it gently
Buff with a soft, lint-free cloth. For a deeper clean, use mild soap and warm water, then pat completely dry.
What to avoid
Keep away from perfume, lotion, chlorine and household chemicals. Remove your jewellery before swimming, bathing or sleeping.
Wear it well
Last on, first off — put jewellery on after fragrance and makeup, and take it off before anything else.
Every Kanish piece is backed by our Lifetime Care & Repair promise. If a piece ever needs attention, reach out and we'll help restore it.
